Here are some things that should be checked.

  • General Inspection - Inspect ducts, filters, blowers and indoor coil for dirt and other obstructions.
  • Ducts - Identify and seal any and all duct leakage.
  • AirFlow - Verify sufficient airflow through proper measurements.
  • Refrigerant - Verify correct refrigerant charge through proper measurements.
  • Refrigerant Leaks - Identify and fix all refrigerant leaks.
  • Electrical Terminal - Inspect electrical terminals, and if necessary, tighten and clean connections, as well as apply nonconductive coating.
  • Motor & Belts - Lubricate the motor, and inspect all belts for tightness and wear.
  • Electric Control - Confirm correct control, making sure that heating is locked out when the thermostat calls for cooling and vice versa.
