Here are some things that should be checked.
- General Inspection - Inspect ducts, filters, blowers and indoor coil for dirt and other obstructions.
- Ducts - Identify and seal any and all duct leakage.
- AirFlow - Verify sufficient airflow through proper measurements.
- Refrigerant - Verify correct refrigerant charge through proper measurements.
- Refrigerant Leaks - Identify and fix all refrigerant leaks.
- Electrical Terminal - Inspect electrical terminals, and if necessary, tighten and clean connections, as well as apply nonconductive coating.
- Motor & Belts - Lubricate the motor, and inspect all belts for tightness and wear.
- Electric Control - Confirm correct control, making sure that heating is locked out when the thermostat calls for cooling and vice versa.
- Thermostat - Verify the thermostat is functioning correctly.
